Another exciting installment of 'Fall Market'

Here we are again. In this episode, I finished up the reflections in the closest window. I then started the long process of doing the trim work - kind of like painting a room in your house :)

I mixed up a blue I liked and then mixed a couple variations - lighter and darker for the closest window. This was the hardest to paint since any variations from straight lines are more noticeable. I really liked the reflections once the criss cross on the window was done.

I then lightened and dulled ever so slightly each blue variation for the next window and repeated the process. After the 2nd window, I was running out of paint so I tried doing some trim around the door. It turned out too light so I will start again there next time. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel.

Work in Progress~! Fall market!

I just love Fall subjects. This is a local Farmers Market that sells all the usual fall goodies including all kinds of apples! Yes, it really is painted that color! As you can see, I have a pretty good start on it. I tried to paint the wall gradually getting duller as it gets farther back - same goes for the pumpkins and flowers. This pic really isn't very good - the pumpkins really glow. I used a bit of blue in the highlight - complimentary colors work great as highlights!

Now, I decided to work on the reflections in the glass. They were quite detailed. I paid more attention to the detail closer to the viewer. This took quite a bit of time and I still need to do more on the reflections. I may need to dull the close one a bit so it doesn't look like you are seeing through the glass. I also may need to adjust the colors and brightness once I add the trim color which is next on the agenda. I also worked on the open door area. That may need darkening a bit later. Everything is in relation to the other colors so I want to get the trim on before I adjust anything else. FYI that big blob in the middle will be a large hanging petunia basket - kind of looks like an octopus right now:)

I am now offering Giclee Reproductions!

I am so excited! I finally decided what to do about giclee prints. I was waffling between getting an expensive printer that requires even more expensive inks or find a place to order professional giclees. Also, not a cheap endeaver.

I wasn't sure where I would put another large printer. With the cost of ink I would still need an everyday printer. My Epson printer clogs if I don't use it for a while so I was afraid that the jets on the new printer would keep clogging from unuse.

My Vast (Visual Artist Street Team) group on Etsy came to my rescue. I heard good things about iPrintFromHome.com. I tried a test print and was very pleased with the result. Their prices are reasonable and they are in my state so I get my orders quickly.

So far is has been fun. Some of my relatives are on it so I can see what they are up to as well as promote my work. It is easy to do quite and quite powerful. I am still just scratching the surface:)

Happy New Year~

Wow! Time flies this time of year. I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.

I have been busy 'undoing' Christmas so to speak. I have most of the decorations down - tomorrow is the tree and then I can get cleaned up and back to normal. I hate to take it all down - everything looks so bare.
This is a pic of our winter wonderland here on my street. We had a storm the previous day and everything was covered in white. It is so beautiful! Thank you for stopping by!
